My prediction is that this leads to many secular trends in diet and lifestyle. People have called keto a fad, but to me it looks like what happens when basic human endocrinology and how to manipulate it becomes widely known.
I don't expect people to go back to high carb/low fat diets as a weight loss intervention, ever, even once the hype has worn off.
