its just posts on the site not real people. chill. you need to realize context and not get all offended

and when you let someone control what you can and cant say because of their feelings its gonna be a bad time. california is already eating itself. is that really what you want?

None of this is about posts involving hypothetical people (like Alice&Bob in cryptography examples). You're the only one who thinks that.

The topic is about when a real user asks that they be referred to with specific pronouns, and other people instead refer to them with different pronouns or avoid using gendered pronouns. This whole conversation is about real people.

whos that person then? you wont find a name because its not about specific people. if it was then it would be pretty simple to just use the pronouns when talking to them and there wouldnt be any issue

but this is about editing posts to be gender neutral. why do we need to do that? if YOU dont have a specific pronoun then whats the problem?

There are already all sorts of controls over what people can and can't say in professional settings. You can't use the N-word or keep asking someone out after they've said no in a workplace environment. These controls exist for reasons that should be obvious with a moment of thought.

This is different from a public space where the rules are more relaxed (but there are still some controls). And you're welcome to be as shitty as you want in your own home.

yea theres a difference between what you CANT say and what you MUST say

guess what, rules against what you cant say are fine but you cant make me have say something. thats tyranny. youre welcome to be as outraged as you want in your own home but you dont get to control my life because of it. its called freedom.

No, there are things you are forced to say in workplaces. For example, you can't act nice towards almost everyone on a team but ignore the only Black person.

That's exactly what trans people want, to be given the same respect as everyone else. If you use pronouns for everyone other than the only trans person on the team, they're quite rightly going to be upset.

no youre looking at it backwards. if the only black person on the team kept saying I want you to call me "your majesty" and i ignored them then its not cause theyre black but because theyre unreasonable and demanding from everyone else

guess what, easier to dump the unreasonable person. but of course if you cant see people for more than their skin color then youll think its discrimination. i cant help you with that.

and heres a bonus story for the day about how this gender neutral stuff is hurting people and kids: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7542005/Girls-skipp...

Just standard anti-trans fear mongering then. If you cannot tell the difference between they/them and your majesty then it's hard to take you seriously. I hope I never have to work in the same team as someone with such poor judgement.
