isnt ut more likely we are 80% of the way to maximum performance by doing 20 % of the work and the remaining tiny performance increase will require a multiple of the work we have done so far and will leave us with performamce that "isnt good enough"? Seems way more likely to me than a linear progression to agi from here
Thats not true. I work my butt off to be able to afford delicious animals. All the stuff you mention is just gains from trade. That someone can run a profitable animal operation at these prices is amazing not privelege.
I came to say this too. It was super easy to get sendspin working as a systemd service on my bazzite based jellyfin media player computers hooked to my tvs and it works decently well. If I can figure out how to get bazzite to output audio on one hdmi port and video on the other so I can split the audio to my speaker system even when the tv is off it would basically be perfect.
Once the esp32 based stuff matures and people start selling competitively priced enclosure/speaker/esp32 combos in the sonos play 1- play 5 style it's going to be amazing I think.
Can attest to this. I know of a shareholder dispute that is in year 11 of going through the courts and the end is just barely in sight, maybe. Canada is a terrible place to setup business. Setup somewhere less crap and colonize Canada from there if you really think it's necessary dealing with this terrible country.
It's weird to see people discussing this from a "we're richer so we live alone because roommates are risky" angle instead of the actual angle of this being an indicator of the slow death of society because it indicates the increasing number of people that never grew up, formed a pair bond and had kids (and also the failure of many of those pair bonds ending in divorce and one or both sides of the pair living alone depending on if they had kids or not.
Guys, a discussion of which big tech company is better is equivalent to talking about which cancer is the best to have.... Can we all agree that each operating system has good features but they share a terrible feature of being strapped to a giant vampire squid exfiltrating your data and selling your secrets to the highest bidder? Instead of wasting bandwidth on these two companies can we go and figure out how to force cell phones (and consoles and numerous other things) open like the PC was/ mostly still is?
I don't think those are the standard for quality/performance anymore. Sadly the Breville super q beats them both (I've owned all 3, the blendtec especially has gotten bad in the last five years)
Many cities in north america you cant get occupancy without grid tied electricity, so every house incurs the coat of bas government policies on transmission. Its why i havent bothered with this yet. The optimal setup for here is natural gas generator, some battery and some solar given how stupid the fixed charges are here but you cant live in your house if you disconnect from the grid (even better would be for fuel cell manufacturers to offer something sized for a house so i can get hot water put of it as well and a silent unit)
