Sort of, it's growth at any cost. If you're saturated in organic video views and ran out of ideas how to increase that, maybe you can still glue some mobile gamers to the platform.

The model will be released in two sizes — 8 billion and 70 billion parameters [...]. The 70B version will rank among the most powerful fully open models worldwide. [...] In late summer, the LLM will be released under the Apache 2.0 License.

We'll find out in September if it's true?

Yeah, I was thinking more of a table with benchmark results

I hope DeepSeek R2, but I fear Llama 4.

She was mainly brought on to fix relationships with advertisers, they were just pulling out that time because of rampant nazi and hate speech (by users) on the platform, after they fired the content moderation teams. I think she did what she could over the last 2 years and some of the ad revenue came back, but after the latest MechaHitler escapades I guess she got some texts from people...

Sure, long term that would probably drive or lock a lot of customers to them and make them not bother about ChatGPT anymore. However, Amazon might have a lot of compute, but I'm not sure if it's enough to enable every Alexa speaker with state of the art conversational AI. OpenAI and Google constantly have to screw with the rate limits to satisfy demand.

better quality of life leads to lower wish of dying it seems, who would have thought

Check out Volkswagen that have been built between 2019 and 2021 (MY for Canada, US and EU might be a bit different). They usually come with Android Auto already (worth it for traffic and music - you can use OsmAnd or alternatives as well if you want zero tracking), BUT all the climate and radio and steering wheel controls are still physical buttons. And at least for Canada there are is no cellphone module in the car. There actually was for US market, but apparently since it supports max. 3G and the network has been shut down US wide end of 2022 they are truly offline as well now.

Probably not, but with a 25 hour recording window one could make sure that the previous crews did not notice any irregularities (that they might not have reported) or anything else that might have lead up to this incident. That's pretty mind boggling that a modern age voice recorder doesn't even support storing the timespan of an intercontinental flight.

archive.is and archive.org are different pages/organizations

My mistake

it would only be a pinhole at first, though start to grow quite rapidly(? no idea in what time scale?) and at some point consume the sun quite violently from within, no?

> no idea in what time scale?

The numerical simulations in the paper go on for a time on the order of the Sun's hydrodynamic time scale, which is tens of millions of years. After that time has elapsed, yes, the star could be completely consumed by the hole.

Tens of millions is off by more than two orders of magnitude, isn’t it?

The hydrodynamic time scale is not the same as the age of the Sun.
